Hello Seedling is an innovative wildflower garden products business that was launched in September 2022.
Business owner, Annelyse Carter shares she is on a mission with Hello Seedling to sprout wildflowers in plain green gardens throughout Australia by love connecting with online customers and local gifting, florist, and nursery retailers.
At present, they have 2 products available, their wildflower seed bombs and plant support stakes.
Hello Seedling shares “Our wildflower seed bombs are the product that started hello seedling. Inspired by the wildflower meadows in Austria, we created seed bombs as an easy, fun, and unique way to plant wildflowers. Filled to the brim with Aussie grown flower seeds, our seed bombs are hand rolled with soil and mineral rich clay from the family farm in Gippsland, Victoria.”
They were also beyond excited to launch their brand-new line 3 custom art designer acrylic planting stakes which are ideal for beautifying your gardening experience, whether indoors or outdoors.
“The products are perfect for plant lovers, beauty lovers and life lovers - the perfect addition to take your gardening to the next level.”
Hello Seedling believes “Our products are unique, easy to use and beginner friendly, I really want customers to remind themselves of the joy gardening can spark, especially watching flowers grow and seeing bees / butterflies come to visit he flowers.”
“What makes us stand out is that we aren’t afraid to push the gardening rules and have allot of fun doing so, I’ve found allot of customers are inspired by Hello Seedling because we encourage giving growing flowers a go, no matter your skill level.”
The business got its start by “organizing a seed swap program at my Saturday farmers market, I’m not sure people really understood what I was trying to accomplish so I knew I had to create a product that people understood.”
“I’d love to continue creating fun, unique and inspiring garden accessories that inspire all levels of gardeners to give growing flowers a go!”
Annelyse explains “I work solo on Hello Seedling, which has been a huge learning curve to tackle everything that’s needed to succeed in business. My attitude is about the long game and making hello seedling as sustainable as possible to keep growing for as long as it can.”
A proud moment of the business she reflects on is “creating our new garden stakes has been a real challenge and something I’m very proud of. I thought of the idea when a customer sent me a picture of their Wildflowers that had grown massive and started to loose structure. I immediately set to work thinking of how I could create something that supported the flowers while looking beautiful too.”
“What’s worked really well has been to connect and partner with other likeminded businesses – Tara at Hello Petal cards has been amazing at finding opportunities to work together and grow as two complimentary businesses.”
Hello Seedling products can be gifted all year round, but they share “Christmas is a really fun time of year, customers have loved sharing our seed bombs with friends and family as they can share in a special moment planting together.”
“I really want customers to remind themselves of the joy gardening can spark, especially watching flowers grow and seeing bees / butterflies come to visit he flowers.”
