Creating that perfect gift for every occasion
Finding the perfect pieces for that special gift package for that special someone is no easy task, but thanks to Em’s FNQ Gems, this is no longer a problem.
Started in October 2020, local owner Emma was searching for a small local business to create a gift for a baby shower and couldn’t find exactly what she was looking for.
In creating her business, she explains it took many nights finding suppliers, making sure she could have stock on hand and finding a company that sold the boxes that she was after.
But the hardest part was picking a name, after about a month with 10 to choose from she thought Em’s FNQ gems suited best.
She shares my inspiration kind of flourished in this period because I like to be creative and find ways to make things work and pop together.
I enjoy making things aesthetically pleasing to the eye, getting to create gifts for people to bring joy to others is also a beautiful thing.
In creating a gift box, she says personally you cannot go wrong with a candle, earrings and body scrub for busy women, all for the self-care and prioritising those who are time poor.
Some of her personal go to items are 26 Candle Co / Free Spirt Candles, Kit n Co earrings, Scrunchies from Scrunchalot and body scrubs from Blush Body.
But says all my suppliers are fantastic regardless but if I had to create a box for myself it would include them.
Emma can create gift boxes for all occasions.
I have made gift boxes for several for weddings, these include bridal shower, proposal and on the day gifts.
Teachers’ boxes for end of year are also popular as it’s a way for the parents to say thank you without struggling of what to put in.
Baby shower / birthdays are also quite popular although depends on what they are after.
Gift boxes are made from small local business just like mine, and I have sent them across Queensland, some to Victoria and Sydney also.
Ideally would like to be able to send local FNQ products, Australia wide.
In creating gifts, she does work by herself, but I do have some awesome few friends who help with content photos, testing new products if I want more opinions and general support.
