Our Ultimate Guide to Creating a Playlist with Apple Music: Everything You Need to Know

Aioli everyone, we hope you have all been well, this week we are trying out another new blog template, after sharing our last post 5 Good Reads Going Into 2024 (walkwithwilz.com.au), we invite you all to take a read of that one before you enjoy this one, in our down time, we have been trying to build a playlist using Apple Music for 2024.

If you haven't created a playlist on Apple Music before, let this be your how-to guide, but if you are looking for any specific information, please check out the headings down below,

#3: Just press play!

#1: Why Apple and not Spotify?

This has to be one of the biggest David vs Goliath battles when it come online music streaming, but the biggest reason why we sided for Apple over Spotify was because of the free access to additional resources, being on a student account before, Apple allowed us access to Apple TV which had access to many K-pop documentaries and movies, whereas Spotify was just music.

But cue to now, when we are now longer under a student account, we are taking the time to weigh up our options, we are still with Apple Music till our subscription runs up, but after that time, we will have to check out what is on offer with their plans, and whoever has the better offer is the one we will side with.

#2: Creating your Apple Music Playlist

What is your name, and what is your type? No this isn't a bad pickup line, it is something you need to think of before you create a playlist on Apple or whatever platform you may be using,

Giving your playlist a fun creative name and wholesome description, will really help when you glace upon your playlist at a later date or if you share it online with friends, so they know exactly what they are getting and what vibes of the list are.

For example, is it a chilled back playlist? Maybe you could call it Chilled Out Vibes, or will it feature solid rock? Perhaps Rock to the Max, or is it taking it back to the 80s? Disco Divas, the name and description of your playlist should be something fun but informative at the same time,

After you have settled on these details, its game on, you can add as many or as little number of tracks to your playlist as you like but remember a helpful tip that comes with most streaming platform services today is the recommendations menu, this menu recommends tracks based on the artists and tracks already in your playlist, if you are worried you will forget a track or an artist, this option is super helpful.

With all this being said, you could literally build a playlist or lots of playlist for days, months and or even years, we are building one for the year 2024, but whatever your playlist's purpose or sound, you can literally keep creating them all for as long as you would like,

If anyone is curious what is on our playlist sounds for 2024, we have a big mix between the genres K-Pop, Country, Rock and Pop.

#3: Just press play!

Let's be honest, if your anything like us, you will never get to the stage where you feel like your playlist is a 100% complete, we are constantly adding more artists and tracks to our playlists, but when you feel like you have gotten a good enough number of tracks together, all that is left for you to do is just press play!

And if you are in a sharing mood, you can also get your family and friends to press play too, a lot of music streaming platforms now give us the option to share playlists with the ones we love, so if you really feeling the vibes, we to can feel your vibes too if you share your playlist,

That is Wilz for now, take care, travel safely and let's keep walking on this journey called life, peace out
