Halloumi, howdy Walkerz,

How are you? Thanks for stopping by and visiting,

In light of Melbourne going back into lockdown, I thought I would do a COVID update for what is like in QLD, and how we are handling it all here in the north,

While our state borders are open to all other states except Victoria, I think most people in Queensland are still pretty cautious about what this will mean for us, while yes it is great to have the tourists back in the state and boosting the tourism industry which has struggled big time with the virus, but I think a lot of us are scared on the fact with that with the borders open you don't know what germs and bacteria could be introduced from visiting guests, so from what I have seen and experienced from Queenslanders so far is that they are still very cautious and are doing well to maintain their general health and hand washing procedures,

From a personal front a lot of the people I have talked to have all come to the same point of view though, while yes having the tourists back is great for the tourism industry but shouldn't we all value lives over dollars, if this spikes the number of cases in our state will it be worth the money it has brought back in for tourism, a lot of people are still so unsure, all it takes is just one positive person to share it to a few people and it can go off like wildfire, we just want to keep our communities safe,

But I think in Queensland, we have been pretty good in boosting our communities and looking out for each other, I can only speak for what I have seen, heard and experienced, but from what I have heard a lot of families have been great in taking care of the more elderly and those with pre existing health conditions, they have been making sure to check in on them, to provide them with assistance to essential services and make sure they are stocked up and having plenty of groceries,

But while a lot of people are starting to head back to work after working from home, I myself have been trying to use the downtime to refresh and learn a lot more skills with the help of LinkedIn Learning, many thanks to my student login with the university I can access a lot of their learning courses and they have been helping me greatly broaden my scope and opening my eyes to some additional career paths and skills that I might be interested in taking on and learning,

How have you been spending your COVID downtime Walkerz?

I am always curious to hear people's experiences though and what you have all thought about all the COVID restrictions and regulations, do you agree or disagree and why, is there things you would change or thought we really good going, lets chat and discuss,

That is Wilz for now, travel safely Walkerz, take care and let's keep walking on this journey called life, peace out
