How have you all been?
We are back from our city adventure, it was so good to get away for a bit and to refresh, and even though we flew back in this morning we weren't going to miss blogging a post for you all,
So, running on barely any sleep, we thought for this blog we would recap our city adventures so we can have some documentation of our trip down the way to look back on, we always enjoy looking back and reflecting on blog posts about our trips, they always bring us back fond memories,
We like to think for this trip we were running on barely to any sleep, to start the trip, we had
an early fly out, we got to the airport at like just before 5am and flew out around 7 after a bit of a delay, thanks to what the pilots said was paperwork issues, once in the air, we had a bit of turbulence since Cairns was raining so much and Sydney seemed to be fine weather, flying through all the cloud was a bit bumpy, but once back in Sydney, it was so good to feel and see the sun again, we took full advantage of being able to explore around the city,
For the first day, we checked into our hotel, grabbed a quick lunch and then went on the crypt tour at Saint Mary's Church, out of all our family we were the only one who hadn't been on the tour, but we were told afterwards that the tour had become more elaborate and encompassed more of the church, we were also shown the final burial site of Cardinal George Pell, after this we headed back to hotel to relax and unwind for the night,
On day two, we put in a bit of leg work and tried to visit as many sightseeing spots as we could while the sun lasted as there was storms forecasted for the next day, on this day we visited Chinatown, ate our favorite Korean restaurant then walked onto Darling Harbour, and then caught the light rail to Circular Quay and checked out the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, while at the Opera House, we finally found where Benny the Seal relaxes and then took a brief break on the grass in the Botanic Gardens and then headed back to hotel,
For day three, it was concert day, we started off our day grabbing some bread at one of our favorite bakeries and then it was back to the hotel to get ready and to head out to Qudos Arena to see Stray Kids in concert, we only attended day 1 but wow was it amazing, the energy of Stray Kids on stage was incredible and to be back at Qudos was so much fun, after the show we got to catch up with good friend Andy Trieu, the only downsides to the day was the storms that were happening when we were inside watching the concert and afterwards trying to catch a taxi home, we had taxi drivers trying to bargain with us, trying to get way more money out of us than we know what the ride should be worth, while the weather was absolutely downpouring, but once back at the hotel and we could dry and relax,
The next day after the concert, we took things very easy, we all had a sleep in and just spent the day relaxing in the hotel, since we got wet and cold the night before we felt like we were developing a cold, so just took the day to stay in our pajamas and nap on the couch, just let our bodies relax and recover,
Day 4 of the trip was another adventure day, we took the train out to North Sydney, it was furthest north of Sydney we had ever been, and we got to meet up with Mumther_HQ, she met us at the station and is seriously one of the sweetest people we have ever met, for our first meeting she got to meet the whole family, and she absolutely spoiled us rotten, she took us for a short tour of the mall where she often visits, and she took us to see gashapon machines, she was even sweet enough to buy us one, a beautiful duck that reminded us of our beautiful curlew baby Bubba Fluffs, it was such a pleasure to meet you Mumther and can't wait to see you again, you're an absolute sweetheart,
After heading back to hotel after this adventure, we got a call from our extended family, and we travelled out to meet them, we had dinner at their place and we didn't get back into the hotel till almost 11pm, midnight, once we got back to the hotel we tried to pack as much as we could, grabbed a couple hours of sleep before finishing packing and heading off to the airport, we reached the airport at around 3:30 am, but we didn't know the airport does not open till 4am, once the airport opened we checked in, grabbed a quick breakfast, boarded our flight home and here we are,
It was an amazing 5 days, but and we will let in on a little secret, we will back next month to do it all again, but till then, it is time to get back to work for a bit till our next get away, if you guys have any trips and travel planned for this year we wish you all the very best and hope you arrive to your destinations safely,
